Tammy Bernier Inducted into Junior Achievement of Northeast Michigan Business Hall of Fame

Tammy Bernier, President and CEO of Duperon Corporation, was recently honored with induction into the Junior Achievement of Northeast Michigan 18th Annual Business Hall of Fame. Bernier, along with fellow laureates Tim Hausbeck (Hausbeck Pickle Company) and the Dore family (Bay County), was formally inducted at an April 29, 2015 reception in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
The Junior Achievement of Northeast Michigan Business Hall of Fame was created to honor those individuals in Bay and Saginaw counties who: display the highest moral and ethical principles; have made significant contributions recognized by their organization or profession; demonstrate civic responsibility and community involvement; have attained outstanding business achievement; and display the qualities of a role model to others, particularly youth. Laureates inducted into the Hall of Fame are selected independently by a committee consisting of past laureates and other business leaders.
As President and CEO of Duperon Corporation, an international company that designs, develops, and manufactures preliminary liquids/solids separation technologies for dams, pumpstations, wastewater, and industrial applications, Ms. Bernier has managed the company to 25% growth. In doing so, she has developed a unique entrepreneurial culture where employees are empowered to be fully engaged in the success of the company. She is involved in several community organizations, including acting as a Board Member for the CAN Council Great Lakes Bay Region and Great Lakes Bay Regional Council of Inforum and as an Advisory Board Member for Mid-Michigan Women in Leadership, among others. Nationally, she serves as Vice-Chair to the Water & Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA), an industry organization which promotes the best use of water as a resource both nationally and globally.
"It is an honor to be included in this group of people who are so committed to making a difference throughout the Great Lakes Bay region, Ms. Bernier said. "There are so many positive things happening in our area; organizations like Junior Achievement, who do so much for our youth, are a big driving force behind that."
