Septage doesn’t arrive the same way every time. The SmartWave Platform is a new approach to screening built around controlled-vibration technology. Its first product, the SmartWave Septage Receiving screen, is designed to handle challenging, unpredictable loads while helping capture difficult solids and resist FOG buildup. Its patent-pending design eliminates the need for a rock trap, reducing maintenance and giving operators a simpler, more reliable way to screen septage.

Septage Receiving Screens Engineered for Controlled Motion
SmartWave™ is designed to deliver the motion needed for effective screening without transferring significant vibration to the surrounding area. During testing, vibration was measured at the floor less than 1 foot from the SmartWave™ Septage Receiving Screen while the unit was operating. No detectable vibration was measured at that location, demonstrating that the controlled motion remains focused on the screening surface rather than being significantly transferred to the surrounding floor.

Description
The SmartWaveTM Septage Receiving Screen is designed to receive and screen septage, separating liquids from solids while continuously conveying captured debris to discharge. Septage flows onto the screening surface, where controlled screening motion creates a wave-like action that promotes liquid/solids separation and keeps captured material moving. Dual SmartWave rotary electric motors provide the controlled motion required for consistent screening performance.
The screening system uses perforated screen panels to capture rags, wipes, grit, FOG, and other organic solids from challenging septage streams. The screening surface is designed to minimize FOG smearing and blinding without the use of scrapers, augers, or brushes. Removable screen panels provide quick access for maintenance, while built-in spray bars wash debris from the screening surface.
The SmartWave Septage Receiving Screen is designed without a rock trap, allowing rocks and dense debris to pass through the screening system. This reduces manual debris removal and maintenance while supporting reliable operation through variable septage loads.

Key Features
The SmartWave™ Septage Receiving Screen uses controlled screening motion to:

Accessories

The Bagger System attaches to the discharge chute for applications where bag dispensing and odor control are required. Included is a 90 meter length of continuous feed bags.
This flexible Drop Sleeve is an economical way to direct and contain downward debris discharge. Also used where waste container hauling may cause damage to metal discharge chutes.
The washer compactor housing and chute can be thermally protected from cold temperatures with the addition of the Heat Blanket with integral heat trace.
